ALBANY OPERATIONS
AND TRANSMITTING BUILDING RAAF
ALBANY, WA
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WWII

 

The Albany Operations and Transmitting Building RAAF was located just over 1 kilometer north west of Albany Airfield. It still exists and is located on the property near the Albany Highway (Part Lot 6981).

35 Radar Station, Stony Hill (previously at Subiaco, WA)
High Frequency Direction Finding (HF/DF) Station, Albany Airfield (located just SE of the Albany Airfield)
Remote Receiving Station, Federal Street (located in or near substation owned by Western Power)
