NEGRO STABBED A MAN
IN BRISBANE, QLD ON 12 JANUARY 1943
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WWII
Daniel Hunt, aged 35 years, a negro solider, stabbed James Finch, a civilian in Brisbane, Queensland, on Tuesday 12 January 1943. Daniel Hunt was arrested by a Queensland police constable. At the time of the arrest, Daniel Hunt shouted "Shoot me now and get it over with". He appeared in Court on Wednesday 13 January in his uniform which was splattered with blood. He was handed over to U.S. authorities.
