Hi,
Hope you can help me with my request. I am trying to trace what Dakota's were used with the 46th Troop Carrier Squadron, 317th Troop Carrier Group in New Guinea and the Philippines.
I have a friend of a friend who was a pilot in the WW2 and flew these wonderful machines in these theatres of war.
I am trying to trace any of the Dakota's that might still be around, or indeed any photographs of the Dakota's at this time.
The pilot that flew has just recently retired from the FAA and has asked me to help him trace some of the history relating to the 317th and 46th TC's.
Thanks for taking the time to read my email and I look forward to your kind reply.

Can anyone help me with more information?
