Proved 23 August 1622 by Katherine Huxtable, oath coram (in the presence of) Bartholomew Moore, rectore de Highbray.
To my son Thomas H. my lands and Tenements in Heanton Punchardon, Braunton, South Molton, and Marwood; also 50 Pounds.
To my daughter Rose H., 65 Pounds 13 Shillings and 4 Pence; within 3 years, or within 2 years of marriage.
To my daughter-in-law Joan H.
To John H., son of my brother John H. the rent which my sd. brother oweth me for Newport
Close.
To my sister Anne Greene
To Thomas and Richard, sons of Richard H. decd at 21. residue to Katherine my wife
whom I make my exx.
Overseers my brother-in-law, Mr. Bartholomew Moore, Mr. William Pyncombe, and Richard Holway.

The following was attached to a Huxtable Will written in Latin:-

1/6 part of are messuage, one garden, three gardens, 40a. of land, 7 a. of meadow, 50a. of pasture, 2a. of wood, with appurtenances in Huxtable alias Huxtabell, East Buckland. (not an exact description of property concerned).
