RAN STATION 145
RAN MINE DEPOT
THEN RAN ARMAMENT DEPOT
BYFORD, WA
DURING WW2
RAN Station 145 was originally established as a Mine Depot in 1943. It was later redesignated as the RAN Armament Depot, Byford, WA. In June 2005 the area is being cleared for a new housing estate called "Byford by the Scarp". Byford is located about 30kms SSE of Perth.
There was apparently also a Cypher Centre located somewhere at Byford.
