Air-Sea Rescue Boats (63 Foot)
HMAS Air Bird (915) was built by the Harbour Boat Building Co., USA. It was launched in 1945 and commissioned on 28 March 1945. In February 1946 HMAS Air Bird was based at Madang.
It was placed into reserve on 30 September 1946 and transferred to the RAAF in 1949.
