WRECKAGE OF UNKNOWN AIRCRAFT
LOCATED AT PUDDINGPAN HILL
Wreckage of unknown aircraft located at a date unknown, at Puddingpan Hill at the co-ordinates shown below, south of Orfordness.
On 19 August 2020 Jim Parker told me that a Coen cattle man Paddy Shephard told him that he often took friends over to Puddingpan Hill to show them the old WWII plane which he believed was a Kittyhawk. About 10 years previously it had disappeared. He said there were drag marks down to the beach, and he thought someone arrived with a boat and a barge and taken it.
Paddy had also mentioned to Jim Parker that two Japanese fighter aircraft had strafed the Coen airport which led to the evacuation of the tiny town of Coen.
