FORCED LANDING OF A NORSEMAN
IN THE BURDEKIN RIVER, NORTH QLD
ON 20 DECEMBER 1944

The Operations Record Book for 3 Fighter Sector Headquarters (3 FSHQ) in Townsville shows the following entry for forced landing of Norseman A71-3 (#43-5190, c/n 181) on 20 December 1944:-

        "A.O.R. advised Norseman A71-3 had forced landed in the Burdekin River, all on board were safe."
