CRASH OF A C-47A DAKOTA
AT CAIRNS
ON 19 NOVEMBER 1943

On 19 November 1943, a USAAF C-47A Dakota of the 21st Troop Carrier Squadron of the 374th Troop Carrier Group, crashed while landing at Cairns due to pilot error. It suffered undercarriage damage but was able to be salvaged.
