CRASH OF A VULTEE VENGEANCE
INTO SEA 2 MILES FROM COAST

OFFSHORE FROM WILLIAMTOWN AIRFIELD, NSW
ON 5 OCTOBER 1943

On 5 October 1943, RAAF Vultee Vengeance A27-26, of 4 OTU ORB, crashed into the sea, two miles to sea, offshore from Williamtown airfield in New South Wales. Flight Sgt J K O'Sullivan pilot, and Pilot Officer G P Woods were both listed as missing, believed killed.
