CRASH OF A CORSAIR
NEAR JERVIS BAY BOMBING RANGE, NSW
ON 30 AUGUST 1945
Sub-Lieutenant (A) Thomas Edward Dunn RNVR aged 19 years of HMS Nabbington was killed on 30 August 1945 when his Corsair KD891 of 1845 Squadron Nowra failed to pull out of a steep angle dive and crashed into the sea while trying to flatten out after dropping live bombs during an exercise at Jervis Bay Bombing Range in New South Wales.
He was buried in the Nowra War Cemetery in Plot B, Row B, Grave 15.
