CRASH OF AN AVRO ANSON
14 MILES NORTH WEST OF UNGARIE, NSW
ON 11 FEBRUARY 1942

At approximately 1600 hours E.A.S.T. on 11 February 1942, Avro Anson AW.677 of 1 Air Observer School 1 AOS, crashed 14 miles north west of Ungarie in New South Wales killing the 5 personnel on board as follows:-

LAC John Alfred Spencer (413272)
AC1 Roy Eric Farnsworth (35439)

The Probable Cause of the crash was listed as weather related.
