No.1  WAAAF Training Depot was formed at Mayfield Avenue, Malvern, Victoria on 6 May 1941. It relocated to Geelong Grammar School at Corio, VIC on 1 January 1942. It then returned to Malvern on 31 January 1942. It was initially known as the WAAAF Training Depot.

No. 1 WAAAF Training Depot then transferred to St. Catherine's School, Toorak, VIC on 24 March 1942 to allow extra accommodation room for more trainees.. It then relocated to Preston, VIC on 22 January 1943.

No. 1 WAAAF Training Depot was disbanded on 19 October 1945.
