EAGLE FARM RAIL LOOP
BRISBANE, QLD
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WWII
I believe the Eagle Farm rail loop ran off the Pinkenba line almost opposite Mordant Street, Eagle Farm and headed southwards for just over 400 yards before turning roughly southwest then looping around to the left into the Hamilton Wharves area at their western end and running along the wharves towards the eastern end of the wharves. It would appear that it was constructed to primarily service the Hamilton Wharves. There appears to be a fence and some small building between the rail loop and Bretts Wharf thus preventing Bretts Wharf from utilising the rail loop.

Note:- I'm not sure about the accuracy of some of the info on the Queensland WWII Historic Places web site linked below. For example the Australian Army's 3 Base Ordnance Depot was located at Albury in New South Wales during WWII and was never located in Brisbane. I'm not sure if the Eagle Farm Rail Loop I have described on this web page of mine is the same as the one described on the Queensland WWII Historic Places web page. Any assistance welcomed.
