Hi Peter,
My name is Ken Bell and I am contacting you with relation to my father-in-law (now deceased) who served as a rear gunner with 460 Squadron and also flew op no.33 on "G" for GEORGE.The operation was to Duisberg.
His name is Robert John Longmore. We have his flight log. His pilot for the mission was P/O W.H.Rose. Bob (as he liked to be known) has a sister who lives in Australia just outside Adelaide, who recently visited the AWM to view the aircraft and spotted Bob on a squadron photograph of which I now have a copy. After serving with 460sqdn Bob was assigned to 156 Squadron PFF.
After looking through lists of crews on the internet I noticed that he is recorded as R.W.Longmore.
Hope this info is of some use to you
yours
Ken Bell.
Can anyone help me with more information?
