JAPANESE SUBMARINE SIGHTED
NEAR FITZROY ISLAND DURING WW2

The personnel of No. 28 Radar Station RAAF on Fitzroy Island reported a suspected Japanese submarine off the Island during WW2.

 

Can anyone give me some more details on this story?
