In hope of Joyful resurrection to Eternal life, the body of William Huxtable (#9995), late of Goosberry?, in this Parish, who departed this Life, the 11th Day of March, in the year of our Lord 1815, aged 67 years,
also Eleanor (#9996), wife of the above, who departed this life the 12th day of April in the year of our Lord 1822, aged 82 years,
Also Susan (#9997), Daughter of the above William and Eleanor Huxtable, who was buried the 17th day of October, in the year of our Lord 1802, aged 23 years,
Also John (#9998), son of the above William and Eleanor Huxtable, who was buried the 27th day of April in the year of our Lord 1806, aged 22 years.

In loving memory of a beloved husband and father Walter Edward Thomas Huxtable (#10245) who passed away 1st November 1993 aged 52 years.

CHURCH OF ALL SAINTS
Ann (#10005), the beloved wife of William Huxtable (#10004) of Brayford, who departed this life on 4 January 1885, aged 63 years, also the above William Huxtable, who departed this life, 16 November 1889, aged 83 years.
Anthony (#10009), son of Anthony (#10006) and Ann (#10007) Huxtable of Arlington, who died 22 October 1874, aged 3 years 7 months, also Mary Ann (#10008), daughter of the above, who died 21 June 1877, aged 15 or 16 years.

John Huxtable (#10010) died 5 December 1888 aged 51? years,
also Elizabeth (#10011), his wife, in 1895 aged 76? years.
William Huxtable (#10012), died 12 September 1869, aged 47 years.
NOTE:- Frank C. Dennis provided me with the following information:-
Mary Dennis has a stone in the churchyard close to the south door. It is believed she was born Mary Huxtable at High Bray, Married John Dennis in 1860 and died in childbirth at Ashford in 1869.

THE LAST OF THE HUXTABLES IN LEARY
The Huxtable Family The Parish Church of St. Peters, West Buckland, has a memorial to the Huxtable family located near the front door to the church. The Huxtables were well known in North Devon particularly and on Exmoor for many centuries. The memorial stone reads as follows:
'This stone is inscribed to perpetuate the memory of the last of the Huxtables of Leary in the Parish of Chittlehampton who have been landowners of part of Leary before the days of Oliver Cromwell, the later part of whose life was devoted wholly to the service of his Saviour. His end was peace.'
The reverse side of the stone lists:-
'In memory of Betty (#10256), daughter of John (#10254) and Betty (#9625) Huxtable of the Parish of Chittlehampton, who departed this life on the 7th day of March, 1806, aged 1 year,
Also Elizabeth (#10257), daughter of the above John and Betty Huxtable, who departed this life the 18th day of December 1808, aged 9 months,
Also Richard (#10255), son of John and Betty Huxtable abovesaid, who departed this life on the 25th day of April 1801?, aged 2 months.
Also in memory of Betty (#9625), wife of the above John Huxtable, who departed this life on the 25th day of September 1836, aged 58 years.
Also in the memory of John Huxtable (#10254), husband of the above Betty Huxtable, who departed this life the 13th day of October 1851, in the 84th year of his age."
In affectionate rememberance of Thomas Huxtable (# 9990), of this Parish, who died May 3, 1887, aged 64 years.

Also Charles Huxtable (#9991), son of the above, who died in America, September 9th, 1887, aged 23 years.
Also Elizabeth Huxtable (# 9992), wife of the above Thomas Huxtable who died September 10th, 1912, aged 88 years.
