Elphinstones in Brisbane, Queensland, reconditioned and tested aircraft carburettors, magnetos and generators for the 81st Air Depot Group. They also tested vacuum hydraulic systems. Their throughput was 200 units per week. An entire floor of generator and magneto test blocks was installed to carry out the work. Initially six men carried out this work.
