SHADOWS OF WAR
On the Brisbane Line
by Graham Smith
This book is the recollections of a young boy growing up in a Queensland bush community during World War 11.
The stories are a snapshot of a world that is almost unrecognisable to the one we live in today, about a community that no longer exists.
The author's family want to remember "Grandad's stories", and he hopes the wider audience will enjoy either renewing their acquaintances with the world of their childhood, or learning about the world of parents and grandparents.
The author has written the book using the language and constructs that would have been used by children at that time.
