1 ENGINEER STORES BASE
DEPOT
CLUDEN PLATOON
CLUDEN, TOWNSVILLE
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WWII
In February 1945, 1 Aust Base Stores Company RAE which was under the command of 1 CE (Wks), was reorganised and became 1 Engineer Stores Base Depot which then came under the direct command of Headquarters Land Forces with Platoons at Cluden, Edmonton, Albion and Dinmore.
I visited the site which was
located on the northern
side of Racecourse Road at Cluden, in Townsville.
There were still a number of large slabs on the site.

I'd like to thank Mel Dundas-Taylor for taking me to this site many years ago.
Can anyone help me with more information?
