David Truman told me that his father, W/O Ernest Truman was shot down over Germany and became a Prisoner of War for 18 months or so. Ernest lost a flying boot and survived frost bite. In April 2003, Ernest Truman was living in Victoria. David Truman would like to find out if any of his fathers fellow crew were still alive.

Hi Peter
I'm wondering if you can tell me if any of Peter Birt's crew (460 Squadron RAAF) are still alive.
Peter was my husband's uncle. He died over Munich, I believe, on Jan 28 1945 at the age of 21.
I would love to talk with someone who knew Uncle Peter. Can you help me?
Sincerely
Jill Birt
