CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT JARDINE RIVER, CAPE YORK PENINSULA
Boomerang
RAAF Boomerang CA-12, A46-24, (CAC Constructor's No. 847) crashed into the sea near the Jardine River, on the Cape York Peninsula on 3 August 1943. This aircraft had been delivered to the RAAF in December 1942.
