CRASH OF A KITTYHAWK
AT LETTS BEACH ROAD

NEAR DUTSON SCHOOL
ON 2 SEPTEMBER 1944

RAAF P-40E Kittyhawk A29-32 (#41-5494) of 1 OTU made a forced landing at Letts Beach Road near Dutson School in Victoria on 2 September 1944. The pilot, F/Lt. L.F. Cronin, DFC, was not injured in this accident.

This Kittyhawk was originally delivered to the RAAF in March 1942. It was converted to components in November 1945.
