CRASH OF A DH-94 MOTH MINOR
INTO THE SEA OFF POINT COOK
IN VICTORIA ON 8 JULY 1940

At 1150 hours on 8 July 1940, RAAF DH-94 Moth Minor A21-11 (G-AFOA, Airframe No. 94074) ditched into the sea off Point Cook in Victoria after an engine failure. The pilot was Pilot Officer A. Hayes who was uninjured. He was flying alone.
The aircraft was received by the RAAF on 14 February 1940 and was withdrawn from operational service to become an instructional aircraft (Inst. 5).
Can anyone help me with more information on this crash?
