CRASH OF A FAIREY BATTLE
4 MILES NORTH OF STRADBROKE
ON THE YARRAM ROAD, VIC
ON 16 FEBRUARY 1944
Fairey Battle L5695 of AGS West Sale, made a forced landing on 16 February 1944, four miles north of Stradbroke in Victoria on the Yarram Rd after catching fire in the air. The engine failed at 2000ft.
