CRASH OF A WIRRAWAY
30 MILES NORTH EAST OF DENILIQUIN, NSW
ON 21 JUNE 1944

Wirraway

On 21 June 1944, Wirraway A20-318 of No 7 SFTS Deniliguin, crashed during a training flight 30 miles north east of Deniliquin airfield. LAC Graham Stanley Payne (431208) was killed in this crash. The aircraft was not found until the next day.
