CRASH OF A KITTYHAWK
AT WENTWORTH BOMBING RANGE, NSW
ON 27 AUGUST 1945
On 27 August 1945, RAAF P-40 Kittyhawk, A29-190, failed to pull out of a dive on the Wentworth bombing range in New South Wales. The pilot, W/O John Campbell Higgins (419178) was killed when his aircraft hit the ground in a vertical attitude. W/O Higgins was from Mildura, Victoria.
