My home address is 508 Main Road,Wellington Point 4160. QLD and my Moran connection is Rathowen,Westmeath, Ireland to USA around about 1830 -40s but my own Mahady research relates to all Irish locations from about the 1750s to 1900s and involved two specific research visits to Ireland in 1990 & 1995 with the latter being as a 60 year old "Backpacker" traversing the Counties of Longford,Westmeath with a side trip to both Donegal to visit old friends from my own Scottish schoolday holidays and to Limerick when I found a family relative the first day I arrived in Ireland due to him being advised from America that I was on my way to Dublin and he phoned Aer Lingus to find out when I would arrive and where I could be contacted - it is really a small World and moreso now that we have Cyberspace. Thanks for responding.

There is a James Moran buried in the North Rockhampton on 29 Jul 1880. His last child Ann was born in Dec 1879. This James died aged 38 years old and was buried in the R.C. area, Section 8 1/2, Grave No. 975 which is in much the same area as the other Morans.

His Marriage Certificate states that he was living at Gracemere at the time of his marriage on 22 Mar 1868. Witnesses at his marraige were Carl Hupeden and Hannah Scully.

I could find no Will or Intestacy for James Moran at the State Archives but thanks to my friend Yvonne Bean the following has been found:-

There is a Bridget Moran buried in North Rockhampton Cemetery who could possibly be Bridget Moran (nee Maloney). She was buried on 12 Feb 1917, aged 69 years, in the R.C. area, Section 8 1/2, Grave No. 4195. This is the general area where all the other Morans are buried.

Her Marriage Certificate states that she was living at Rockhampton at the time of her marriage. The Witnesses at ther marriage were Carl Hupeden and Hannah Scully. Bridget could not write as her Marriage Certificate indicates her Mark against the place for her signature.

I could find no Will or Intestacy for Bridget.

Thomas died aged 37 years and was buried in the R.C. area, Section 8 1/2, Grave No. 3260.

I could find no Will or Intestacy for Thomas James Moran at the QLD State Archives.

He died before his wife. She was buried beside him on 17 Feb 1925.
