Peter Winter mentioned in a newspaper article dated 10 May 1983 that Camp No. 3, Marine Parade Camp was located where Pacific Village is now located at 88 Marine Parade, Coolangatta.

The Royal Navy (British) and Dutch forces may have occupied the camp after the US Navy moved out.
