CRASH OF A BRISTOL BEAUFORT
AT EAST SALE IN VICTORIA
ON 27 JUNE 1944
Bristol Beaufort
RAAF Mark VII Bristol Beaufort A9-102 of 1 OTU crash landed at East Sale on 27 June 1944 when its undercarriage did not lock down. The pilot, P/O G. F. Tucker, had three other crew members with him on this flight.
This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in August 1942. The hull of this aircraft was sold to T. Carr & Co. in Sydney in February 1953.
