LOSS OF A BRISTOL BEAUFORT
AT SEA OFF THE VICTORIAN COAST

RAAF Mark VI Bristol Beaufort, A9-67, was lost at sea off the Victorian coast during a seaward reconnaissance exercise on 11 January 1943.
The crew of this aircraft were all killed as as follows:-
Sgt. N.J. Long (pilot)
Sgt. N.N. McKay
Sgt. A.R. Simpson
F/O R.S. Patterson
This aircraft was originally delivered to the RAAF in June 1942.
