CRASH OF A BRISTOL BEAUFORT
BETWEEN BAIRNSDALE AND FLINDERS ISLAND
ON 12 SEPTEMBER 1942
Bristol Beaufort
RAAF Bristol Beaufort, Mark V, A9-28 (RAF Serial No. T9567), was lost on a seaward reconnaissance flight between Bairnsdale and Flinders Island on 12 September 1942.
The crew were all killed as follows:-
Sgt. A.B. Barton
Sgt. R.A. Cuthill
Sgt. P.J. Healy
Sgt. P.K. Pugh
This aircraft was delivered to the RAAF in April 1942. It was "not taken up".
