CRASH OF A BRISTOL BEAUFORT
8 MILES NORTH OF BAIRNSDALE
ON 9 MARCH 1943
Bristol Beaufort
RAAF Bristol Beaufort, Mark V, A9-6 (RAF Serial No. T9545), made a forced landing 8 miles north of Bairnsdale during a single engine practice flight. The pilot was P/O R.F. Kagi, who was uninjured.
This aircraft was delivered to the RAAF in December 1941. It was converted to components after the crash.
