GROUND LOOP OF A BOOMERANG
IN VICTORIA IN MAY 1943
Boomerang
The prototype CA-14 Boomerang variant, A46-1001, ground looped, possibly in Victoria, (maybe at Laverton?) in May 1943. It never went into production leaving A46-1001 as the only CA-14 Boomerang. It was returned to the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation for repairs and converted to an upgraded standard Boomerang.
CA-14 Boomerang, A46-1001
This same aircraft, A46-1001, then became a CA-14A after further revision of its basic design.
Flight Lieutenant J.J. Holden was the test pilot for the CA-14 between January and early April 1943.
Can anyone confirm the exact
