2ND ENGINEER AMPHIBIAN BRIGADE
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WW2

The Provisional Lighter Company of the 2nd Engineer Amphibian Brigade moved from Brisbane in southern Queensland, Australia to Port Moresby. The Unit comprised 10 officers and 86 enlisted men who operated ten LCM's. These were the first ships of the 2nd Engineer Amphibian Brigade to reach New Guinea.
