5203RD QUARTERMASTER TRUCK
BATTALION

The October 1943 edition of the Brisbane Military Telephone Directory shows that the 5203rd Quartermaster Truck Battalion (5203rd Q.M. Truck Bn.) was camped at Camp Freeman in Brisbane. The Commanding Officer of the 5203rd at the time was Lt. Col. R.T. Birkness and W/O J.J. Omachinski was the Adjutant of the 5203rd.
The 5203rd Quartermaster Truck Battalion may have been involved in working at the nearby Darra Ordnance Depot.
