205TH FIELD ARTILLERY BATTALION
PREVIOUSLY 2ND BATTALION, 148TH FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT
IN AUSTRALIA DURING WW2

visits since 15 December 2004

The 2nd Battalion, 148th Field Artillery Regiment arrived Australia in May 1942, and at some point was redesignated the 205th Field Artillery Battalion. It fought on Biak and in the Philippines. It was NEVER part of the 26th Field Artillery Brigade as is incorrectly reported by at least one other source.
