CHINESE SECONDED INTO
JAPANESE ESPIONAGE SERVICE IN AUSTRALIA

In August 1940, Special Branch reported that the Japanese Espionage Service seconded Chinese to become agents for them in Australia. The report indicated that it was easy to identify these Chinese agents as they had a secret symbol tattooed on their right armpits.
