CRASH OF A SPITFIRE
AT ROCKINGHAM BAY, WA
ON 10 AUGUST 1945

RAAF Spitfire A58-150, of  85 Squadron RAAF, piloted by Sgt Dunn, suffered an engine failure during an R/T exercise near the Rockingham Bay area in Western Australia on 10 August 1945. Sgt. Dunn managed to make a forced landing in the aircraft which was so badly damaged that it had to be written off.
