CRASH OF A CATALINA
IN EXMOUTH GULF NEAR POTSHOT, WA
ON 28 APRIL 1943

A USAAF? PBY Catalina crashed Exmouth Gulf, near Potshot in Western Australia on 28th April 1943. Four of the seven man crew managed to reach the shore.

On 29 April 1943 a United States Navy diver descended into the water at the spot where the Catalina had crashed. The diver located three bodies still in the aircraft.
