CRASH OF A FAIREY BATTLE
2 MILES NORTH OF LETTS BEACH, VIC
ON 2 MARCH 1943

Fairey Battle V1241 of 3 B.A.G.S. West Sale, forced landed on rough ground 2 miles north of Letts Beach (now Golden Beach), Victoria on 2 March 1943 due to oil from an oil leak blocking the pilot's vision. The aircraft apparently ran into some trees.
