CRASH OF A FAIREY BATTLE
ON A ROAD NEAR WEST SALE, VIC

Fairey Battle K9442, of 3 B.A.G.S West Sale, suffered engine trouble in bad weather causing a forced landing on 20 April 1942. The engine cut out and the aircraft hit a stump and fencing on landing on a road.
