CRASH OF AN AVRO ANSON
AT DRAKE GULLEY, LAVERTON, VIC
IN ABOUT JUNE 1938

Avro Anson A4-17 crashed into Drake Gulley at Laverton airfield in about June 1938 when the brakes failed. The same pilot was killed 4 days later when he hit some power line trying to carry out an emergency landing.

I have shown another crash for A4-17 at Laverton in about May 1939. See below. Are they the same incident?
