CRASH OF A RYAN TRAINER
INTO THE SEA OFF THE NINETY MILES BEACH
1 MILES SOUTH EAST OF SEASPRAY, VIC
ON 4 DECEMBER 1943
On the 4th December 1943, Ryan Trainer, A50-16, from No.3 Bombing & Gunnery School at West Sale crashed into the sea off the Ninety Mile Beach. It crashed about 100 yards off shore about 1 mile S.E. of Seaspray. The pilot F/O. M.Dewar and F/O W. Stevens were both slightly injured.
