CRASH OF A VEGA GULL
AT GORMANDALE, VIC

ON 14 OCTOBER 1940

On 14th October 1940 RAAF Vega Gull A32-1 ( VH-UVG ) crash landed at Gormandale, Victoria after engine failure. It ran through a fence and damaged the undercarriage. It was from No 1 Communications Unit Laverton. It was to later ground loop at No 2 OTU Mildura on 4 April 1945.
