BETWEEN EAST SALE AND FLINDERS ISLAND
AND THE HOGAN GROUP, VIC

Lockheed Hudson
On 6 July 1943, RAAF Lockheed Hudson A16-32 from No. 1 OTU East Sale went missing on a seaward training exercise to Flinders Is. and Hogan Group. The aircraft was on radio silence and was never heard of again. No trace of the aircraft was ever found. Its crew was:-
P/O. J. Bowman. Pilot
P/O. A.J. Malone. Observer
P/O. R. Guymer. WAG
P/O. A.F. McDonald. Wireless Operator
P/O. J.A. Buchanan. Air Gunner
