CRASH OF A WIRRAWAY
12 MILES WEST OF TAGGERTY, VIC
ON 12 MAY 1942

RAAF Wirraway A20-592 crashed about 12 mile west of Taggerty in Victoria on the 12th May 1942. The pilot abandoned the aircraft in bad weather and walked towards Yea before being found.

The aircraft was not found until 1st March 1954 by woodcutters. The pilot's name is unknown at this stage.
