CRASH OF A BOOMERANG
AT EAST SALE, VICTORIA
ON 16 DECEMBER 1943
On the 16th December 1943 RAAF Boomerang A46-10 forced landed at East Sale in Victoria. The pilot was Flt. Lt.K.R. Brown (280701) who was uninjured. The undercarriage had failed to come down so the pilot used the emergency procedure resulting in damage to the airscrew. Damage was also sustained to the starboard wing, cowl flaps and front of the fuselage.
