CRASH OF A FAIREY BATTLE
ON LAKE REEVE 1 MILE SOUTH WEST
OF LETTS BEACH AIR RANGE, VIC
ON 21 MARCH 1943

RAAF Fairey Battle V1250 of 3 Bombing and Gunnery School (3 BAGS), made a forced landing after engine failure on 21 Mar 43 about on Lake Reeve, 1 mile south west of Letts Beach Air Range in Victoria. The area is now known as Golden Beach.

The crew of V1250 was Sgt A. Proudfoot (412226) & LAC Leenon (16355).
