CRASH OF A B-26 MARAUDER AT REID RIVER

A B-26 Marauder, aircraft #40-1447, of 2nd Squadron, 22nd Bombardment Group, blew a tire on landing at Reid River airfield near Townsville at 1530 hours on 22 April 1942. It crashed and the aircraft was eventually used for spare parts. The Pilot was Lieutenant J.N. Ewbank.
